Chapter 1
Bernard's Best Friend

One day at Santa's Village Bernard is thinking about his best friend Gregory from Elf School. Curtis walked over to Bernard.
CURTIS: What's wrong with you?
BERNARD: I just really miss my best friend.
CURTIS: What is your best friend's name?
BERNARD: My best friend's name is Gregory.
CURTIS: When the last you saw him?
BERNARD: The last time I saw him was the day of graduation from Elf School.
All of a sudden tapped Bernard on the shoulder. Bernard turned around and noticed a elf around his age standing behind him.
GREGORY: Hello Bernard, long time no see.
Bernard got a confused look on his face.
BERNARD: Do I know you?
GREGORY: It's me Gregory.
BERNARD: Wow Gregory, you've changed so much that I didn't recognize you.
GREGORY: That's okay because I didn't recognize you either so I had to ask Santa who you were and he pointed you out.
Bernard noticed a beautiful elf with Gregory.
BERNARD: Who is this beautiful elf with you?
GREGORY: This is my wife Rebekah.
BERNARD: Your wife?
GREGORY: That's what I said.
BERNARD: I never ever that I'd see the day that you settled down.
GREGORY: Well I didn't either but the moment I met Rebekah all that changed.
BERNARD: Hello, Rebekah. My name is Bernard and your husband's best friend.
REBEKAH: Yes, I know that.
BERNARD: Did you have a best friend in Elf School?
REBEKAH: No, I didn't but I found one after I left here for awhile.
BERNARD: What is your best friend's name?
REBEKAH: My best friendès name is Clarissa Kent and she works at the Daily Planet with her twin brother in Metropolis.
BERNARD: Wow, that's so cool and I'd like to meet her sometime.
REBEKAH: I can probably arrange with her.
BERNARD: Does she know that you're an elf?
REBEKAH: Yes, she does and she has a secret too but I can't tell what it is because she sworn me to secrecy.
Gregory wrapped his arms around Rebekah. Bernard sighed.
GREGORY: What's wrong?
BERNARD: It's just making me sad seeing you with Rebekah because I want to have someone special to love like you love her.
REBEKAH: You will find someone when the time is right.
BERNARD: I'm so sick of hearing that saying because I have been hearing it all my life.
REBEKAH: Yeah, I know the feeling because I felt that way before I met your best friend.
Bernard suddenly had a flashback of Rebekah at Elf School.
BERNARD: I remember you know.
REBEKAH: You were really mean to mean.
BERNARD: I am sorry for being mean to you back than.
REBEKAH: That is alright.
BERNARD: I have changed a lot of the years.
REBEKAH: I can see that.
A few hours later Bernard is bed dreaming about finding someone to love.. Rebekah is sleeping in Gregory's embrace. Carol is sleeping in Santa's embrace.
