Chapter 1
All In The Chemistry

Johnny is sitting on the floor of Dr. Richard’s lab. Sue walks over and sits next to him.
“Why the long face Jonathan?” Sue asked.
“Please don’t call me that and I just want someone to love but girls are afraid to get near to me because I might burn them.” Johnny answered.
Sue puts her arm around Johnny.
“Oh Johnny there’s someone very special out there for you who doesn’t mind that you have special powers.” Sue said.
“Where is she than?” Johnny asked.
“That I don’t know but you’ll find her when you least except it.” Sue answered.
Reed walks into the room.
“What’s going on in here?” Reed asked.
“Johnny is upset because no girl wants to close to him on account of his powers.” Sue answered.
Reed pulls Sue up in his arms than looks at Johnny.
“What did your sister tell you?” Reed asked.
“She told that I just have to find someone that has special powers like me.” Johnny answered.
Ben comes into the room.
“Good luck with that.” Ben said.
“BEN.” Reed yelled.
‘”What?” Ben asked.
“That was uncalled for.” Reed answered.
Johnny sighs than leaves Dr. Richards’s lab. Johnny starts walking down the street. There’s a pretty girl named Josefina Kennan walking down the street. Josefina isn’t watching where she’s going and neither is Johnny. All of sudden the two of them collide with each other.
“Oh I’m sorry I wasn’t watching where I was going.” Josefina said.
“No I’m sorry because neither was I.” Johnny replied.
Josefina smiles a little.
“My name is Josefina Lauren Steffani Kennan but every calls me Josie." Josefina said.
“I’m Jonathan Lowell Spencer Storm but please call me Johnny.” Johnny replied.
“Are you the Human Torch?” Josie asked.
“Yes I am unfortunately.” Johnny answered.
“Why did you say it that way?” Josie asked.
“I said it that way because it’s great all but no girl wants to get close me on account of it.” Johnny answered.
“Well it doesn’t bother me.” Josie said.
“How come?” Johnny asked.
“I have a power too.” Josie asked.
“Really you do?” Johnny asked.
“Yes really I do.” Josie answered.
“What’s your power?” Johnny asked.
“I’ll show you.” Josie answered.
“How?” Johnny asked.
“Just watch this.” Josie answered.
Josie points her finger at the fire hydrant and ice appears on it.
“You have ice power?” Johnny asked.
Josie nods her head.
“Yes I do so the affect of your fire power won’t hurt me.” Josie answered.
Johnny smiles.
“Would you like to get a coffee?” Johnny asked.
“That would be nice but I don’t like really like coffee.” Josie answered.
“What would you prefer than?” Johnny asked.
“I like fruit smoothes at the new store downtown called Juice Plus.” Josie answered.
“I haven’t tried them yet.” Johnny said.
“They are so delicious.” Josie replied.
Johnny and Josie walk to the Juice Plus. Johnny can’t take his eyes of Josie.
“Wow she’s so beautiful.” Johnny thinks to himself.
Josie notices Johnny looking at her and in deep thought.
“What are you thinking about?” Josie asked.
“It’s nothing important.” Johnny answered.
Johnny looks in the other direction. Josie looks at Johnny.
“He’s so incredibly gorgeous.” Josie thinks to herself.
They reach the Juice Plus.
“What kind of smoothie do you want?” Johnny asked.
“I want a Peach Party Smoothie.” Josie answered.
Johnny smiles than walks up the counter. The lady working there looks at him.
“Can I help you sir?” the lady asked.
“I would like a Peach Party Smoothie with two straws.” Johnny answered.
The lady makes the Smoothie for Johnny.
“That will be 3 dollars.” The lady said.
Johnny gives the lady the money for the Smoothie than walks over to where Josie is sitting. Johnny is across from Josie and puts the Smoothie in front of them.
“What’s with the two straws?” Josie asked.
“I thought that sharing it would be cheaper than getting two.” Johnny answered.
Josie smiles. Josie takes a sip just as Johnny does. Josie smiles and gets lost starring into Johnny’s gorgeous brown eyes. Josie shakes her head. Johnny smiles. A few awhile later they are done. Josie sighs.
“Well I should be getting home before my father has a fit.” Josie replied.
“Can I walk you home?” Johnny asked.
“That would really nice.” Josie answered.
Johnny and Josie leave the Juice Plus than start walking the direction of Josie’s house. A few minutes later they reach Josie’s house. Johnny sighs than goes to leave. Josie takes out a notepad out of her purse than writes down her number and gives it to Johnny. Johnny smiles and leaves. Johnny walks back to Dr. Richards’s lab. Sue notices Johnny and walks over to him.
“Where have you been?” Sue asked.
“I was out with the most beautiful girl I have ever laid on eyes on.” Johnny answered.
“What’s her name?” Sue asked.
“Her name is Josefina Kennan but she prefers to be called Josie.” Johnny answered.
“Did she know who you were?” Sue asked.
“Yes she did.” Johnny answered.
“Was she scared of you?” Sue asked.
“No she wasn’t because she has a power that will prevent her from getting hurt from me.” Johnny answered.
“What kind of power does she have?” Sue asked.
Reed walks into the room.
“I think I know honey.” Reed answered.
“What than?” Sue asked.
“She’s the power of ice right Johnny.” Reed answered.
Johnny nods his head.
“You got it.” Johnny said.
Sue smiles.
“That’s so great Johnny.” Sue replied.
~Meanwhile at Josie’s house~
Josie is sitting on the living couch thinking about Johnny when her twin brother Loren into the room.
“What are you thinking about sis?” Loren asked.
“I don’t want to talk about with you.” Josie answered.
Josie and Loren’s mother Kayla walks into the room.
“What’s going on?” Kayla asked.
“Josie was thinking about something but she won’t tell what.” Loren answered.
“I’ll talk to her.” Kayla said.
Loren sighs than leaves. Kayla sits down next to Josie.
“What are you thinking about?” Kayla asked.
“I’m thinking about someone that I met.” Josie answered.
“Who would that be dear?” Kayla asked.
“Johnny Storm.” Josie answered.
“As in Johnny Storm the Human Torch?” Kayla asked.
“Yes mom.” Josie answered.
“Well there’s no way he can hurt you with his fire power.” Kayla said.
“I know that mom.” Josie replied.
Josie smiles. All of a sudden the phone rings. Kayla walks over and picks up the receiver.
“Kennan Residence, Kayla speaking.” Kayla said.
“Is Josie there?” the voice on the end asked.
“Yes she is.” Kayla answered.
“Could I speak to her please?” the voice asked.
“Yes you can when you tell me who you are.” Kayla answered.
“I’m Johnny Storm.” the voice said.
Josie looks over at her mother.
“Who is it mom?” Josie asked.
“It’s Johnny Storm and he wants to talk to you.” Kayla answered.
Josie runs over to the phone and Kayla passes it to her.
“Hi Johnny.” Josie said.
“How are you now?” Johnny asked.
“I’m just fine.” Josie answered.
“That’s good to hear.” Johnny said.
“Is there a reason that you are calling?” Josie asked.
“Yes there is.” Johnny answered.
“Which would be what?” Josie asked.
“I was wondering if you’d like to go out to see a movie sometime.” Johnny answered.
“Yes I would too.” Josie said.
“Alright than I’ll call you to later to set up a day.” Johnny replied.
“Oh ok.” Josie said.
Johnny and Josie hung up on each other. A few hours later Josie is her bed dreaming of her date with Johnny. Johnny is his bed dreaming of his date with Josie. Sue and Reed are sleeping in each other’s arms. Ben and Alicia are sleeping in each other’s arms.
