NARRATOR: Early the next morning Brenda Blue had a hard time trying to get her daughter to wake up, but Amber wouldn’t wake up at all, unless Brenda gave her daughter a kiss on the cheek. So that’s exactly what Brenda did and you’ll never guess what happened.
BRENDA: I know how to wake her up. I’ll just give her a kiss on the cheek and I’m sure she’ll wake up.
AMBER: OK. Mom I’m up! I’m up! (Yawning)
BRENDA: Sweetie didn’t you say yesterday that you were gonna sing a song to me tomorrow and you know tomorrow is today, right?
AMBER: That’s right Mom. I did say that. I was gonna sing you a song today but I won’t sing it until it gets a little darker. OK Mom.
BRENDA: Alright Sweetie I’ll guess I’ll wait unitl it gets a little darker.
NARRATOR: So that’s what they both did. In the meantime Brenda and her daughter Amber went to Smiling Meadow to have a picnic for just the two of them.
BRENDA: Well Sweetie I think we better get back to Tarrytown Airport.
AMBER: Mom I don’t want to leave yet. Can we stay a little while longer Mom? Please.
BRENDA: Why Sweetie why do you want to stay a little while longer?
AMBER: Well Mom I wrote you a little poem. The poem is called “A Poem about Brenda Blue” and I wrote it eight days before my 18th birthday and here it is:
B is for how Beautiful you look every day.
R is for all the Repairs you do every day.
E is for how Excellent you do those repairs every day.
N is for how Nice you are to all your new and old friends.
D is for how Dazzling you look with your hair up or down.
A is for the Angel that you are every day.
B is for all your Bravery that you have.
L is for how Lovable you are to all of your friends.
U is for how Unique you are in you own special way.
E is for how Elegant you look every day.
BRENDA: Oh, Sweetie that was very & I mean very Beautiful.
NARRATOR: After Amber read Brenda that poem they decided to go back home to Tarrytown Airport. As soon as they got back it was getting darker and Amber was gonna sing that song to her Mother that she wrote for Brenda on you 18th birthday.
BRENDA: Everyone tonight my daughter is gonna sing a song to me tonight.
HERKY: Brenda what is the song that Amber is gonna sing to you tonight.
BRENDA: Well, Herky the song she’s gonna song is called “Brenda.”
SAVANNAH: It is? Why is it called that Brenda?
BRENDA: Well, Savannah and everyone the reason why Amber called it thatis because she wrote that song on her 18th birthday and when she did she was thinking of me at the time and that’s why it is called “Brenda.” OK, Sweetie you can sing the song now.
AMBER: Why thank you Mom. Yes the song is called “Brenda” and I did write this song on my 18th birthday and I was thinking of my mom when I wrote this song and Mom here it is:
This is a story about a girl named Brenda…
Early morning,
she wakes up
Knock, knock, knock
on the door
It’s time for makeup,
perfect smile
It’s you they’re all
waiting for
They go…
“Isn’t she lovely, this
Tarrytown girl?”
And they say…
CHORUS:
She’s so lucky, she’s a star
But she cry, cry, cries in her
lonely heart, thinking
BRENDA: If there’s nothing missing
in my life
Then why do these tears come
at night?
AMBER: Lost in an image,
in a dream
But there’s no one there to
wake her up
And the world is spinning, and
she keeps on winning
But tell me what happens when
it stops?
They go…
“Isn’t she lovely, this
Tarrytown girl?”
And they say…
CHORUS:
She’s so lucky, she’s a star
But she cry, cry, cries in her
lonely heart, thinking
BRENDA: If there’s nothing missing
in my life
Then why do these tears come
at night?
AMBER: I-I-I whoa-oh-oh-oh
Roger Johnson: “Best actress, and the winner is…Brenda!”
AMBER: I-I-I whoa-oh-oh-oh
Roger Johnson: “I’m Roger Johnson for Pop News standing outside the arena waiting for Brenda”
“Oh my god…here she comes!”
AMBER: Isn’t she lovely, this
Tarrytown girl?
She is so lucky, but why does
she cry?
If there's nothing missing in
her life
Why do tears come
at night?
(And they say...)
CHORUS:
She’s so lucky, she’s a star
But she cry, cry, cries in her
lonely heart, thinking
BRENDA: If there’s nothing missing
in my life
Then why do these tears come
at night?

AMBER: She’s so lucky, so lucky
But she cry, cry, cries in her
